SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ATHABASCA & DISTRICT SENIOR CITIZEN SOCIETY

Dear Members,

Please be advised that a Special Meeting of the Athabasca & District Senior Citizens Society will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Seniors Centre.

The purpose of this meeting is to elect individuals to the positions of President, Vice-President, and Treasurer. These positions became vacant effective May 26, 2026, following the resignations of Sandra Blaquiere, former President; Gerald Armfelt, former Vice-President; and Ilene Rooke, former Treasurer.

The remaining Board members continue to serve in their positions.

It is very important that members attend this meeting, as the Society cannot continue to operate effectively without filling these key Board positions. If these vacancies are not filled, there is a serious risk that the Athabasca and District Senior Citizens Society may be forced to cease operations.

Your attendance and participation are greatly appreciated.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

The Athabasca & District Senior Citizens Society is always looking for ready and willing volunteers. You do not need to be a member or a senior to volunteer; we have a wide variety of opportunities that can help you meet new people, build your skills, and have fun!

Please contact us for all upcoming opportunities! We appreciate your interest!

2025 KITCHEN RENOVATIONS

The Athabasca & District Senior Citizens Society is celebrating our newly renovated kitchen facilities! Join us for weekly programmed activities, and see our updated look throughout the building. New members and volunteers are always welcomed as well as the general public for events such as bingo, pancake breakfasts, and spring and fall suppers.
